Below is some template copy about using the Substack App’s new functionality which is a Chat option - like a comment thread or Forum, of sorts.
I’ve decided to fire up The Two Fisted Homeopape on there because I’ve realised that I have no back-and-forth locations online anymore. I quit the bird, I dropped the Zuck a while back, and I don’t think my brain needs a new MMO of global opinion and such. My brain needs an ice bath.
But every now and then, I want to hear from people I dig, or I have small questions, and I think this space could fit that gap nicely. Hel, only time will tell, and it won’t kill my brain any more than it’s dead in the ground, so let’s see what happens. It’s shorter than an email, it allows some community chat, and I’m keen to just make it focused and good reads and helpful vibes.
Here’s the Substack template copy - it’s basically: download the app, come and chat :] I’ve asked one question on there already about formative reads that ushered in a new sphere of reading for you - mine is PKD’s A MAZE OF DEATH, because once you drop PKD into the brain pond of a young teen, there’s no turning back.

Today I’m announcing a brand new addition to my Substack publication: the The Two Fisted Homeopape subscriber chat.
This is a conversation space in the Substack app that I set up exclusively for my subscribers — kind of like a group chat or live hangout. I’ll post short prompts, thoughts, and updates that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion.
To join our chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app, now available for both iOS and Android. Chats are sent via the app, not email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens.
How to get started
Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Substack Chat is now available on both iOS and Android.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
Look forward to checking it out. And may lift your idea for my own. (With credit, natch!)
I’m glad to see two fisted on Substack as I too forgo the various social media platforms as they have become inundated with so much garbage, I don’t have the time or headspace to process all the nonsense. Look forward to catching up with you on Substack.
