This comic has years of love poured into it from me and Sami Kivela - and now Lauren Affe has gone and coloured it up beautifully, with Jim Campbell rocking the letters, and the final result is a crime comic unlike anything else hitting the stands in 2024 and getting this release is a dream come true. I mean, look at that cover above - this comic is everything we love about indie comics.

Sami and I constructed a tight 3 issue arc and it’s got the good stuff in a John Doe body in the morgue, and a seedy politician, and a bag full of nothing good, but then the story will later swerve into some really strange places with be-fanged villains, a conspiracy that goes further down and back than you’d imagine, and two sub-editors who are each personal favourites in my canon of characters I’ve created - plus one of my favourite story ending sequences/pages ever.

At the centre is Bucky - our antlered editor of the crime beat at The Truth; a newspaper in a cold city. He doesn’t give up easily, and he will chase any story down, but he also needs to learn that sometimes he might be wrong and that he’s followed the wrong lead.

We here at Antler HQ all hope you’ll join us for the Deer Editor madness in 2024 - this has always been one of my absolute number one favourite comics I’ve ever created. We want to land in stores with a huge splash, so if you can share the good word or our cover above in any avenues you like we would be insanely appreciative.
